Is a video sculpture. A metal tube with a video inside shows a tunnel and a women trapped in it, with a perspective that constitutes a claustrophophic condition. The work was created specially to be shown in KIT, Kunst Im Tunnel in Düsseldorf, in direct relation to the context of the physical exhibition location, a showroom for refurbished and previously unused road tunnel on the Rhine. Pressure Drop explores Foucault’s notion of the Panopticum through the relationship between the public and the artist – who is shown in this work as an object of judgment.
